Motorhome Campsite FAQs

Do I need to make a reservation for a campsite?
Yes. We recommend booking your campsites in advance, especially during the peak summer months. Popular campsites can fill up in the summer so early booking is advised. Many campsites allow you to book online, over the phone or by email.
What information do I need to make a reservation?

Typically you will need the dates of your stay, number of people staying, length of your motorhome (which can be found on the Just go website), and any specific requirements.

How often should I stay at campsites?

We recommend staying at campsites every night if possible. At a minimum, you should stay at campsites every 1-2 nights to recharge your motorhome leisure battery. Campsites also have great facilities to support your motorhome trip including showers, toilets, waste emptying stations for grey waste water and toilet cassettes as well as fresh water fill-up points.

Are campsites pet-friendly?

Many campsites across the UK & Ireland are pet-friendly, however, some have restrictions on the number of pets and some do not welcome pets at all. It is important to check with the campsite in advance if you intend to stay with your pet.

How do I dispose of waste at a campsite?

The campsite will have facilities so you can properly dispose of your waste, grey waste water, and toilet cassettes. Please check with the campsite host on arrival and follow their instructions to dispose of your waste. Please remember to follow the Leave No Trace Principle and leave the land / area the same as when you found it.
